They, who walk with good,

Fear God in deep wonderment.

Fools, who are perverse,

Loathe God and His Graciousness;

If I Love Porn, I hate God.

Pornography: The Top Three Lessons from the Loss of Porn Addiction

Grief may be joy misunderstood;

Only the Good discerns the good.

–Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Have you noticed yet that giving up your porn addiction you felt a loss?

I remembered a time when I deleted all porn sites from my favorites’ list.

The feelings were similar to grieving for a dead friend, especially, one that comforted me whenever I needed it.  From time to time I shed tears.

The only problem was that when I buried my friend, he was still alive.  I didn’t even lock him in a coffin and vault. He resurrected back into my life.

I went through 40 years of mixed feelings for pornography; dying and living.

In 2014, I was able to stay sober the entire year with only two minor slips (measured in seconds).

Now, I have a new friend, freedom.

From time to time, I shed tears for this feeling.

Three Lessons of Losing an Addiction (a Haiku Poem)

Grieve the loss of porn;

Resurrecting it once more;

Grief joy understood.

Psalm 20:1, 2

The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; (King James Version, public domain)

Pornography: The Prayer of a Porn Addict; Revealing Secrets

After you read this short post, you will feel God’s decency.

First and foremost, we set our sights on God’s goodwill and decency, and our self-rule rewards us with goodness that gives freedom from pornography addiction.

A prayer of a porn addict:

If I accept His statutes and store them in my heart, and if I listen for wisdom and apply my intelligence to understand, and if I hunger for insight on how to stop porn cravings and pray aloud for comprehension, and if I look for answers as for  hidden treasure gold and silver, I then am aware of a deeply felt reverence for God and His kingdom.  Awareness guides me to healing.

Proverbs 2: 1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. (King James Version, public domain)

Experiencing God is like sleep;

Psalm 145:8, 9

Pornography: I Dont’t Know if You Know Whether Your Dad Had a Sex Addiction

It is a true proverb; that if you live with

a lame man you will learn to halt.

Dad Mom

I’ve Porn in Closet

It all started when I hid in Dad’s closet flipping through his porn magazines.  Intensive sensations flooded through my entire body, more so, in my pelvic region.

Shortly after my discovery of pornography, I became addicted to compulsive masturbation.

Masturbation and Porn excited one another; My addiction became secured.

At first, looking back on family memories was difficult to do.

Now, I realize that their arguments had a lot to do with Dad’s sexual problem (addition).

I have a confession to make: I am addicted to pornography and masturbation; a sex addict.

However, I forgive my father and take responsibility for what I do.

Now, I have been sober for nearly a year.

Isaiah 57:15,

15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
