Fidelity Is Life; The Opposite Is Death.

The following verses are an adaptation of Psalm 85:10 – 12.

This morning, the Psalm helped me overcome depression.

Virtue Looks Down from Heaven

Love meets faithfulness

Righteousness kisses one’s peace

Fidelity springs

Virtue looks down from heaven

God indeed gives what is good

Peace Offers a Host of High Energy Emotions.

What does pornography offer you?

Long-term emotions, what Low Energy Emotions Does  pornography deluge you?

Proverbs 14:30  New International Version (NIV)

30 A heart at peace gives life to the body,
    but envy rots the bones.

Peace comes to those who find recovery from addiction.

God’s Covenant of Peace

I got out of bed, and I felt anxiety.  Being ashamed about my past, I remembered how I lusted after forbidden things, disgusting images and behavior.

I went to my devotional bible and read from Isaiah. I could not find peace until I read the following passage in Isaiah.

“Do not fear, for you will no be ashamed;

Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame;

For you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach … but with great mercies will I gather you. …

But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you. …

But my kindness shall not depart from you,

Nor shall my covenant of peace be removed” (NKJV, 2011, Isaiah 54:4, 7, 8, & 19).

When I turn to Him for a loving relationship, I now know that God has made a covenant of peace with me .  Even with the years that I have taken for recovery from pornography addiction, the Lord still has compassion on me.

My Heart Was Hot

Featured imageIn the morning, I mused, and my heart was hot, burning to the core.

I spoke to God:

“Oh Lord, open my mind to know the days of my life.

Teach me to measure them.  Quicken me to know my end.

God, I am frail.

Undeniably, my years are breaths, mist, fading.

I am a shadow.

You gaze on me.  Look away from me so my strength returns before I slip away.

Oh my God, I fall short.  Show compassion on me because I know you forgive with unconditional love.”

My prayer is an adaptation of Psalms 39:  3-6, & 13.

Peace Fills

Psalms 39

3 My heart was hot within me; While I was musing, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue.

4 “Lord, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am.

“Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah.

6 “Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them. …

13 “Remove Your gaze from me, that I may regain strength, Before I go away and am no more” (NKJV, 1982, Psalm 39:3 – 6, & 13).

Stop Pornography: Exalt God the King

When I experienced sexual feelings, I checked my focus, thoughts, and actions.  If I lingered too long and lusted, I cried out to God for strength.

When I did not call on the Great eternal spirit of the Universe, I eventually ended up looking at pornography.

God created me and is compassionate and gracious; rich with love and slow to anger (Psalm 145:9, 2011, NIV).

Sexual feelings provide self-awareness to shift thoughts, if necessary.

God Is Spiritual, not Religious.

Psalm 145

A psalm of praise, of David

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. 9The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love (2011). Peace Fills. Thanks, DaleHelps

Devotionals: Why Do I Feel So Overwhelmed?

Feeling Overwhelmed

How to Rid Yourself of Overwhelmed Feelings

Devotionals for Men and Women;

These Devotions Fill Men and Women with Peace.

“Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Proverbs 4:20-23

My son and daughter, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings. Let them not leave your sight; keep my sayings in the midst of your heart.

For they are life unto you who find them, and health to your whole body.

Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are
the issues of life. (paraphrase, modern English)

Lesson: The issues of life that flow out of your heart are emotions. Empowering emotions feed your spirit and heals your body.

Power: Focus: Decide what the most important things for you to focus on.

Strength: Clarity: Write down all the things that are most important to you.

Shadow: Overwhelmed, Overloaded, Helplessness, Depression, Grief, Stress; you tend to feel these limiting emotions when you lose focus on what matters most to you.

To Answer the question: Why do I feel so overwhelmed?

Not Keeping Your Heart Focused on What Matters Most to You.

However, the reason you may feel overwhelmed is that you may be trying to do to many things at once.

Prioritize: focus only on one thing at a time and make sure what you do reinforces the things most important to you.

Note: If you start to feel overwhelmed, check your thoughts. Are you thinking overwhelming thoughts. Example: thinking about all you have to do.

Change the meaning ( your thoughts): New Belief: All I can do is all I can do and all I can do is good enough.

To Your Peace,

What Removes Empty Feelings?

Your Duty

Duty and Peace

Devotionals for Men and Women: These Devotions Fill the Empty Spot with Peace.

“What’s the Whole Duty of Man?”

Ecclesiastes 12:13

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this the whole duty of man.”

What does it mean to fear God?

Meaning: Having feelings of deep reverence for Him, a profound sense of awe and obeisant respect for God’s ultimate power over your life are a few ways to “fear God” in your life.

What does it mean to keep His commandments?

Meaning: Attune oneness with God and His creation. Loving God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind, and loving your neighbor as yourself are the two commandments Jesus mentioned in Mark Chapter 12, verses 29-31.

How do you get the feelings of attune oneness with God? Showing gratitude is one way.

For me, sometimes, I make a list of 21 things I am thankful. When I get to the last 3 or 4 things I am thankful for, I feel a joy rise up in me. Then, I fill peace.

I am no longer empty.

To your peace,
