Stop Pornography: Exalt God the King

When I experienced sexual feelings, I checked my focus, thoughts, and actions.  If I lingered too long and lusted, I cried out to God for strength.

When I did not call on the Great eternal spirit of the Universe, I eventually ended up looking at pornography.

God created me and is compassionate and gracious; rich with love and slow to anger (Psalm 145:9, 2011, NIV).

Sexual feelings provide self-awareness to shift thoughts, if necessary.

God Is Spiritual, not Religious.

Psalm 145

A psalm of praise, of David

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. 9The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love (2011). Peace Fills. Thanks, DaleHelps

How to Empty Discomfort from Your Life

Discomfort

Discover Clarity: Find Comfort

Devotionals for Men and Women;

These Devotions Give You Clarity.

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort”- 2 Corinthian 1:3.

Discomfort: Low intensity, uncomfortable feelings bother you because they produce low levels of discomfort. You don’t know why, but you feel things are not quite right.

You feel boredom, unease or a slight distress.

You just feel off; things are not going right.

Power: Having Clarity Gives Comfort

Lesson: Become clear. Decide what you want. Make a decision.

Strength: Focus on what you want most. Confess what you want most. And, do only the things that you want most. This is clarity.

Shadow: Focsusing on Discomfort. Wearing it as a “Badge of Courage” instead of discovering why you feel the way you do.

Is there a decision you have been putting off? Then, Follow the 3 secret steps.

Three Secret Steps (ask God for help):

  1. God, what’s the most important thing in my life now?
  2. God, what’s the best way to confess what I want without sounding religious? (confession creates peak states of mind, faith)
  3. And, God, what do I need to do right now to anchor clarity into my life?

Be ready; have pencil and paper in hand; sometimes, God  answers quite quickly.

When answers come, do something immediately to give you clarity.

To your peace,

Dale
P.S. Daily read and meditate on the scriptures. The words you read give you clarity and then comfort. This is God’s way.

Devotionals: Why Do I Feel So Overwhelmed?

Feeling Overwhelmed

How to Rid Yourself of Overwhelmed Feelings

Devotionals for Men and Women;

These Devotions Fill Men and Women with Peace.

“Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Proverbs 4:20-23

My son and daughter, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings. Let them not leave your sight; keep my sayings in the midst of your heart.

For they are life unto you who find them, and health to your whole body.

Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are
the issues of life. (paraphrase, modern English)

Lesson: The issues of life that flow out of your heart are emotions. Empowering emotions feed your spirit and heals your body.

Power: Focus: Decide what the most important things for you to focus on.

Strength: Clarity: Write down all the things that are most important to you.

Shadow: Overwhelmed, Overloaded, Helplessness, Depression, Grief, Stress; you tend to feel these limiting emotions when you lose focus on what matters most to you.

To Answer the question: Why do I feel so overwhelmed?

Not Keeping Your Heart Focused on What Matters Most to You.

However, the reason you may feel overwhelmed is that you may be trying to do to many things at once.

Prioritize: focus only on one thing at a time and make sure what you do reinforces the things most important to you.

Note: If you start to feel overwhelmed, check your thoughts. Are you thinking overwhelming thoughts. Example: thinking about all you have to do.

Change the meaning ( your thoughts): New Belief: All I can do is all I can do and all I can do is good enough.

To Your Peace,

Dale

Devotionals: Loneliness; I Feel So Alone…

Devotionals for Men and Women;

I feel so alone...

Remove Lonely feelings by Connecting with Others

These Devotions Fill Men and Women with Peace.

“How long will you forget me, O Lord? for ever?”

O Lord my God, I feel so alone….

Psalm 13:1-5

How long will you hide your face from me?

How long shall I take counsel with my soul, feeling sorrow in my heart daily?

How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: open my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; Lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him….”

But, I trust in God’s mercy; I rejoice in His salvation. I sing unto God because He has dealt bountifully with me.  (modern English and some of my words)

Lesson: Reach out to God

Power: Gratitude releases despondency.

Strengths: Hoping in God, Trusting God’s mercy, Rejoicing in spite of trouble

Shadow: Blaming God, Doubt, Fear, Feeling alone, Feeling despondent

Over the holidays, I felt so alone. I was despondent. Actually, depression became an enemy. I pushed away my family.

One day, I prayed, “What’s wrong with me.” The answer came, “Connect with the family.”

The following morning, I spent time talking with one of my daughters, spent time with my grandchildren and even cooked breakfast for everyone. The loneliness lifted. The despondent feelings vanished. I didn’t feel depressed. I actually felt loved.

I connected with others.

Peace Fills,

What Removes Empty Feelings?

Your Duty

Duty and Peace

Devotionals for Men and Women: These Devotions Fill the Empty Spot with Peace.

“What’s the Whole Duty of Man?”

Ecclesiastes 12:13

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this the whole duty of man.”

What does it mean to fear God?

Meaning: Having feelings of deep reverence for Him, a profound sense of awe and obeisant respect for God’s ultimate power over your life are a few ways to “fear God” in your life.

What does it mean to keep His commandments?

Meaning: Attune oneness with God and His creation. Loving God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind, and loving your neighbor as yourself are the two commandments Jesus mentioned in Mark Chapter 12, verses 29-31.

How do you get the feelings of attune oneness with God? Showing gratitude is one way.

For me, sometimes, I make a list of 21 things I am thankful. When I get to the last 3 or 4 things I am thankful for, I feel a joy rise up in me. Then, I fill peace.

I am no longer empty.

To your peace,

Dale
