How to Have Strength in Addiction Recovery

Broken wing; flight stops

Weary, builds her strength; there’s hope

Fly; fall; try again

Young eagle grows tired; still hopes

Everlasting God gives strength

BrokenWings

Soaring High; Broken Wing

Meditation

Isaiah 40:28 – 31

Instruction for a four minute Meditation:

  1. Read poem out loud.
  2. Emphasize words that have meaning to you.
  3. Breathe deeply, exhale during reading, and meditate.
  4. Silently read poem to the rhythm of your breathing
  5. Having eyes closed, remain silent.
  6. Probing your heart, ask, “What does the poem mean to me?”
  7. Throughout the day, you may continue to ponder the meaning.
  8. Thank God for His compassion, wisdom, and comfort.

Thanks,

Dale
